Code of Conduct for Students
This code of conduct is meant for students of Government Degree College Dehra and students are abiding to follow this while they join our college and strictly adhere with.
- Since, today’s Student is tomorrow’s good citizen, each Student is expected to show exemplary conduct, being polite, humble, civilized in his/her behaviour in and outside the college campus.
- Obeyance of the college rules and regulations are compulsory biding to Students. Ignorance of rules and regulations/orders issued is no excuse.
- Student are advised to go thoroughly through the Hand Book of Information and College Notice Board regularly.
- All academic/administrative powers of the institution are vested with the Principal of the college and with the committees duly authorized by the Principal.
- Each Student is expected to be present regularly in the college (expect during pre-sanctioned leave).
- Every student must attend at least 75% lectures both in theory and practical separately failing which he/she will be debarred from appearing in university examination.
- No Student is permitted to undertake any part-time/whole-time job during the graduation Programme.
- Idle sitting on wayside leading to college, parapets, ramps and unauthorized places will constitute an act of indiscipline and special fine will be charged by the authority.
- No Student is allowed to put posters/ undertake anti-social activities in college campuses/notice boards and not allowed to organize unlawful activities or addressing unauthorized assembly in the college campus.
- Any body found guilty of writing obscene language on blackboard, walls or furniture of the college.
- Student causing disturbance/ obstruction in the smooth functioning are liable for disciplinary action.
- Any Student causing loss/damage to the college property shall be penalizedand asked to make good the loss.
- Silence is to be strictly observed in the library and optimal use of college library is expected from all students and they should observe the rules of library.
- Student should appear in tests and midterm tests as per the direction of concerned teacher/tutor and these are part of CCA.
- Whole admission process is online through the portal available on college website.
- After the completion of online process student must submit the receipt of online fee slips for record and confirmation.
- Students of second year and third year must deposit their class fee in stipulated time.
- Smoking, drinking of alcohol, use of drugs, tobacco products are strictly prohibited in institution. Any indulgence in the said activities will entail strict disciplinary action/expulsion from the Institution.
- Each Student is required to participate in the Sports Activities as per his/her capabilities.
- For outside Campus Programmes /Educational Tours/Cultural Activities etc. Students must seek their guardian/parent’s permission/consent to this effect.

- Every student is expected to contribute in green initiatives; such as energy conservation, maintaining cleanliness, to conserve and save water resources, keep silence in the campus, waste segregation and management, contribution to increase green cover and advised to plant at least one sapling in his/her stay.
- Every student is abided to follow the define duties for the welfare of institution and they should work for the national integration, communal harmony, cultivate good human values, respect to national heritage, respect heroes of freedom struggle, cultural heritage and cultural cohesiveness.
- Bringing unwanted outsiders without any assignment to the campus is strictly prohibited.
- 4. Every student must always carry with him/her duly completed identity card which is issued to him/ her at the time of admission. He /She must have to produce the identity card, whenever demanded by any teacher or the Principal.
- Discrimination on the bases of caste creed and gender bases, strictly prohibited in college
- Each Student is expected to maintain a general level of proficiency in academic and educational environment in the institution. Attendance in the Sports, Cultural Activities, and other activities is compulsory. Absence will invite a special fine.
- Students coming to the college on personnel vehicles must carry registration certificate/ helmet with them. They are further directed to obey traffic rules. Blowing of horns is strictly prohibited in the college premises.
Ragging
Every student should fill and submit online anti ragging affidavit on anti-ragging site of Government of India. Ragging is totally banned in the institution and any one indulging in ragging is likely to be punished approximately. Punishment includes imprisonment, fine or both, expulsion from the institution, suspension from the institution or fine with public apology. The punishment may also take the shape of
● Withholding scholarship or other benefits.
● Debarring from representations in events.
● Withholding of result.
● Suspension or expulsion from hostel or mess and the like.
● Legal proceedings under criminal law shall be initiated.
Observance of college rules and regulations is compulsory for all.
- All academic/ administrative powers are vested with the Principal of the college.
- Students and teachers are oriented about the code of conduct in the college and from time to time, at the beginning of the session and in between through orientation and induction programmes.
- The discipline committee, Principal and advisory, monitor the adherence to the code of conduct and general Rules for Conduct and Discipline.

2. Mobile phone is banned in the college campus. Students can use mobile phones in specified area (Mobile Zone) marked by the college. However any body found using mobiles outer the specified area shall be fined minimum of Rs. 100/-.
