Government College Dehra, Distt. Kangra Himachal Pradesh came into the existence in the year 2017 vide Notification No. EDN-A-Ka (1)-2/2012-Pt-I dated: IR’ May 2017 and started functioning w.e.f June 2017 with the admission to Is’ Semester of B.A and B. Com.
Govt. College Dehra is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla -05 Vide Notification No.-1-677/2017-HPU(Acad)-A dated 21st June 2017.
There are 6 Departments in the college. They are the Department of English, Department of Hindi,Department of History , Department of Economics, Department of Political Science & Department of Commerce, catering to two faculties in the college, Arts and Commerce.
